Hello BLU CRU enthusiasts,

It will come as no surprise to many of you that Yamaha Canada and BLU CRU have a significant presence in amateur motocross racing in Canada. This support begins with our strong relationships with industry partners, one of whom we would like to formally introduce to you.

Meet Ryan Gauld – a name synonymous with dedication, experience, and passion in motocross. With over 40 years in the sport, including 20 years competing at the professional level, Ryan’s journey is built on a deep-rooted passion that continues to fuel everything he does, both on and off the track.

As a driving force behind AMO, one of Canada’s leading amateur racing organizations, Ryan has helped build a community grounded in family, fun, and competitive spirit, establishing an environment where new riders feel welcomed and supported from day one, and where experienced riders are challenged to push their limits and continue improving.

With these shared values in mind, we at Yamaha Canada understand racer demands at all levels and, through partnerships with organizations like AMO, we’ve developed the BLU CRU program to support riders from their first gate drop through their professional careers.

For over 13 years, we have offered the Factory Ride Award at amateur races across the country, where three racers are awarded the free use of a YZ and $2500 in parts credit for the following race season — the ultimate win for any aspiring racer. Additionally, we have developed three of the most prominent amateur national qualifiers, giving BLU CRU racers the opportunity to represent Team Canada at the YZ SuperFinale, which takes place at the Motocross of Nations each year. Last year, Team Canada scored 1st overall in the 65 class and a hard-fought 2nd in the stacked 125 class, proving the strength of Canada’s amateur motocross scene and the BLU CRU program as a development platform.

As we embark on another season, Yamaha Canada will continue to work closely with amateur racing organizations such as AMO to ensure BLU CRU riders keep climbing to the top step of the podium and to keep growing the community that makes Canadian motocross so special.
